What a crazy few weeks. We were in Anchorage, well actually Girdwood, Alaska for 5 days for Michaels (brother in laws) wedding. It was an action packed weekend. Hiking, eating, tennis, eating, drinking, eating, sleeping, hiking, oh yea wedding. Lot's of fun and only one mosquito bite! We were there from Wed, July 26 till Monday July 31. We were originally supposed to be there until Wednesday but that would have been way too long. Too much to do at home.
Today, we had our first garage sale ever. It was good-quite successful. No crazies and a bunch of neighbors came by. Thankfully our only nasty neighbors with the nutty dog were no show and no problem. They have two but only one has serious psychological problems. It must take after its owners...
It feels really great to purge all that stuff from our closets and life in general. Marks Mom was a great help and his Dad offered moral support and counted the take later. Everything, well almost, else we didn't offload was brought to the Salvation Army on the junk express. I did keep the vintage linens and quilts to try and sell on either ebay or craiglist.
Tomorrow I start crafting again. I have two big fairs in September- Brentwood Art Show on Sept 17th and then Abbot Kinney Fest in Venice on Sept 24. Yahoo!
