dr. doom

Well today was interesting. I had an appointment to have a lavage performed on my ears. That's a fancy way of saying "flushing out your ears with an uncomfortably large amount of water". All I can say is "OWW" but at least now it doesn't feel like I have an industrial strength earplug in my right ear. I will save the gory details for myself. Three words-BIG METAL SYRINGE.

This was the first time I had gotten a check up in maybe two years. I leave the medical emergencies to my poor husband. It is always hard trying to find a dr. you like. The last one we had was great but he stopped taking Blue Shield.
How I wittled the selection down this time was by location first. Then I looked to see education, I googled possible candidates and then looked at what other write-ups they had. I decided to go for a woman this time and the one I chose ended up Asian with a Stanford education. Sounded promising. She was very nice and mellow. I hope I don't have to go through that process again soon.
